We all have a life story!
Our stories define who we are and the impact we can have on others.
Listening to people’s life stories has become an education for many of us. We watch strangers conquer obstacles in their lives, and it inspires us to change ours. Like an Author who writes an engaging narrative for readers, our life stories are our narratives that we communicate to our audiences.
I prefer the word narrative to life story. Life can change at any time.
You shouldn’t live a life that doesn’t involve change. If you stumbled on this blog, then you are on the right path to change.
The person walking past you in a busy mall or standing behind you at a grocery store has a narrative.
We meet and pass people daily. Yet, we don’t think much about these simple interactions. Just like everyone else, we move ahead to the next part of our day, never stopping to take a moment to really connect.
A smile can change a life.
William Shakespeare once said “The Eyes are the window to your soul”
Are we just not interested in seeing the person who usually checks our groceries at the local supermarket or the local mall’s security guard?
We must be so busy to notice the regular faces that make up our world.
If you like me and share the simple habit of observing people, you will have noticed that everyone has a narrative. I must admit that I want to chat with people.
I like putting a smile on a person’s face. I like to take a few moments to let someone know that I see them. It’s a habit I have, and it has made others feel good.
I don’t expect anything in return. I intend to give back the blessings that I have received in some form or another.
I always hear people complain about being busy. There never seems to be enough time to connect with others. Yet, I have seen so many people glued to their phones. Instagram appears to be a favorite application.
The invention of watching strangers, family, friends, and influences seem to be a worthy past time for many people. Let’s be honest; we all do it. I’m guilty of browsing through Instagram, especially in the morning, while taking a few extra minutes before getting out of bed. It can be a bad habit if you choose!
My reasons are to learn from others. I don’t waste my time on stories that won’t help me evolve as a person.
Whether you are watching people on Instagram or not, the point of this post is that we all have a narrative.
The most important story is yours!
Own your story and use it to help others. You might think that your life is not worth telling. I read a comment once from someone on Facebook. She said that her life seemed boring in comparison to others. I don’t know the reader, but I can assure you that no one has a boring story.
Who we are is a credit to our past lives.
The memories we have of ourselves and others is what gives essence to our souls.
Life is not perfect, and we all have bad memories. The hunger and passion you have will inspire others to overcome obstacles in their lives.
Is life beating you down? OR Are you flipping your life around?
Only you can decide!
Are you obsessed with other people’s stories?
Do you spend useless time watching Instagram or Facebook stories that will not benefit your life?
There are a lot of stories on social media and in books that can motivate and educate you.
Your life matters!
How can you use your time to make a change?
Change is empowering! If you have a big appetite for life, you will never stop being hungry.
Your phone is a valuable resource. It’s a tool that will expose you to the right knowledge.
Take advantage of the hundreds of applications on your phone.
Language apps will allow you to broaden your communication.
Cooking apps will expand your appetite, and your cooking skills will improve.
Educational apps will make your learning simple and exciting.
Fitness apps take away the excuse of not having a gym membership.
Many free educational applications will change your life!
When you brave enough and think you can make a difference in people’s lives, share your story.
Your narrative will inspire!
Superlady!
