Goa is an absolute beauty of beaches, sunshine, and delicious spicy food. My trip to Goa will always be one of my favorite destinations.
Goa located on the west coast of India, about 587 km away from the bustling city of Mumbai is a favorite tourist hot spot. Pictures do not give justice to the real beauty of Goa.
I was incredibly blessed, lucky to get the opportunity to spend a holiday in Goa once again. I have been to Goa before with my kids, so my experience was completely different from the last time. That is another story; I will share at some point.
I think I always knew I would go back to Goa. My wardrobe was prepared for the trip. I have the habit of buying local and authentic clothes whenever I am traveling. When I went to India a few years before, I couldn’t resist purchasing a few items.
I think blending in with the locals is the best way to travel and provides a unique opportunity to dress in local attire.
We stayed at the Park Hyatt Goa resort and spa, situated alongside Arossim Beach, Cansaulim, South Goa. It is a beautiful, luxury hotel with all the amenities you could want.
We were welcomed with a cold coconut drink before heading to the room. There are many room options, but I loved the room we selected. The lagoon view room with balcony access into the garden overlooking the lagoon. The bathroom is to die for; I jumped in excitement when I saw that there was an outdoor shower and inside was a deep sunken bath. It did not look like a bath at all. I loved that the hotel filled it with petals as a welcome treat.
The hotel is massive and has an indoor cinema, games room and outdoor activities. I recommend it for families and couples. With plenty to do on site, there is no reason to leave.
In the evenings the beach lights up with outdoor restaurants luring you to sample their food and perhaps smoke some shisha with a hot cup of chai tea.
We started our itinerary with a deep body massage from Sereno spa, the link will provide all you need to know www.hyatt.com/en-US/spas/Sereno-spa/salon. Feeling relaxed and having enjoyed some fresh fruit and healthy drinks I was ready for a dip in the enormous swimming pool. The bridge is a great feature to the pool and I made sure to get enough pictures on it.
The next day after a delicious breakfast and way too much chai tea, we finally set off to explore the spice garden, meet an elephant and explore the town area. Goa is best known for its beaches. We asked our driver to take us to see quite a few beaches as we wanted to experience a quieter beach with the possibility of eating fresh fish. I recommend clicking on the site I used to find more information on beaches www.thrillophia.com/popular- beaches-in -south-goa.
Goa is not expensive and traveling around is affordable. The famous tuk-tuk is must to experience and the drivers will take you anywhere you want at a negotiable fee. The people are friendly and very welcoming. Unlike the rest of India, Goa has an exotic feeling to it. If you are in search of a beach holiday, a lot of sunshine and water sports Goa is the place. Couples and families will not be disappointed either. Most of the beaches are clean and inviting. The food is delicious and affordable, the culture is captivating and the sightseeing beautiful. I must warn you, be prepared to fall in love with Goa because I certainly did.
