I am a curious soul, always on the search for a new experience. I recently came across this exercise from a group I joined. My curiosity encouraged me to find out more about Superbrain yoga.
I usually try not to form an idea or overthink before actually experiencing it for myself. I find that searching ahead of time or reading other people’s reviews can unknowingly cause you to form an opinion without trying it personally. I prefer going into a new experience open-minded and at times, clueless. Does this sound like you?
I honestly was not expecting a short exercise of less than five minutes. I discovered that I did Super brain yoga when I was a kid.
So before getting into the facts of Superbrain Yoga, allow me to take you back in time. Think back to the days in school when the teacher thought she was punishing you by having you cross your arms, hold your ears, and squat. The teacher aimed to humiliate the student in front of the class. Perhaps you didn’t experience this as a student, but I certainly had my fair share of countless squats holding onto my ears for dear life. Eventually, the class became used to a student standing in front counting and squatting, and it became less of a humiliation.
What the students didn’t realize was that this punishment was actually helping the brain. I am also sure the teachers who were eager to implement this punishment on unsuspecting students weren’t aware of the benefits.
I am glad I discovered it while I am still in my forties, and I can now teach it to my kids so that they can benefit from it.
What is Super Brain Yoga?
My first introduction to this beneficial exercise was a YouTube video shown to me and a few others before meditation.
The video was a news report documenting people who were already using it in their daily lives.
Superbrain Yoga does not involve complicated movements. Unlike Yoga that requires you to do an array of posture movements, this exercise only involves squatting.
Superbrain Yoga is believed to improve your brain and help you concentrate. In the video, parents, and teachers claim that it has helped Autistic kids, Hyperactive kids, ADD. ADHD people, Teenagers, and Senile people. So no more forgetting where you put your car keys or why you went into a particular room! Does this forgetfulness happen to you often?
The great news is that it doesn’t require a lot of time to do the excise, and the results will improve your life.
We need to exercise our brains!
When you go to the gym, you caring for your body. But what about our brains? Superbrain yoga will allow you to exercise the most important organ in your body.
How does Superbrain yoga work?
The energy trapped in the lower parts of your body will rise and improve concentration and intelligence. You will be activating the right and left hemispheres in your brain by holding your ear lopes. What are the benefits of Superbrain Yoga?

Spend 3 minutes a day doing Superbrain Yoga
It is recommended to do it when you wake up in the morning.
Try it out for yourself
- Make sure you are standing upright. Your posture has to be correct.
- Connect your tongue to your palate. Doing this will connect the electrical circuit of your body. Keep your tongue on palate of your mouth throughout the exercise. It will feel like you want to make a “La sound “
- Place your left hand first on your right earlobe and cross your right hand on your left earlobe. Your hands should be crossed in front of your chest when doing the exercise.
- Stand with your feet apart and engage your glutes and core.
- Inhale and squat and exhale when you come up. You are bending your knees just like a squatting exercise. Make sure your hands stay crossed and holding the earlobes throughout the exercise.
- Repeat every day for 3 minutes.
Many people have claimed that Superbrain yoga worked for them. This exercise might work for you or it may not. But adopting positive habits and being open to new experiences will automatically improve your well-being. Superbrain yoga could be a fun and healthy exercise to share with your friends and family. If the results are not evident overtime at least, you did something together.
