The year 2009 was an exciting time for F1 enthusiasts and the city of Abu Dhabi, UAE. It was going to be a motor race like no other for the Emirate. Everyone was excited to experience the first F1 weekend. If you were not going to the race, there were the after-race concerts, beach on the beats which gave the community an opportunity to enjoy performances from Grammy-winning artists for free on the beach. There was an F1 family festival for kids to enjoy F1 simulators, games, arts, and shows. It was also the launch of the 1st Get driver fit program (GDF) a free three-month fitness program to get people fit like an F1 driver. All this was happening, and we were ready for it all.
Three F1 races later, I told myself that was it. I enjoyed the races, and I was happy. Purchasing race tickets can be expensive and going every year is pricey.
I wasn’t planning to purchase tickets in 2017. No! No! No! Until they announced, PINK was going to perform. I am a big PINK fan. She is a great artist and performer. I couldn’t resist. Fortunately, the heavens were blessing me because I happen to get an employee discount for the VIP suite. How could I miss seeing PINK in concert?
The Ticketshop
There are a lot of ticket options. You would have to buy your tickets in advance for general admission tickets. Tickets include after race concerts which you can upgrade to the Golden circle at an additional cost. Every year new additional upgrades can be purchased with your ticket. Since the F1 takes place on the iconic Yas Island where Ferrari world and Yas Waterworld are located, you can get access into the parks with your F1 ticket during the three day race weekend. It’s great for families who want the kids to have fun on the island.
I was lucky to get North Yas Suite tickets. These tickets are expensive but include Golden circle tickets which means you get to be up close and personal to see the singers perform at the after-race concerts.
The ticket is a 3 –day package (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). We were able to enjoy the action from the comfort of an air-conditioned suite with unlimited selections of buffets, water, coffee, and soft drinks. The kids loved this. There is an option for a beverage upgrade. We also had access to the Oasis area where we could enjoy Emirati culture, henna painting, Arabic sweets, and traditional dancing. https://ticketsyasmarinacircuit.com
F1 CALENDER 2018
The following twenty-one Grands Prix is due to be run as part of the 2018 World Championship: Abu Dhabi is the last city on the calendar. You can imagine the anticipation and Excitement for drivers and fans. Its all set to happen in the Capital this November 2018.

F1 Zone
I love the F1 ZONE; every year is different. There is a lot to do and experience. I had my hair braided in the F1 beauty area and got a back massage too. My daughter leaped and experienced the free fall. Walking around taking pictures with the F1 stilts is fun for everyone. There is also a stage where live performances take place. Many local performers get the opportunity to showcase their talents. My daughter and I were also lucky to get some cool autographs from Lewis Hamilton.
After race concerts PINK 2017
The concerts are what brings the crowds. Every year Grammy award artists are booked and get fans excited. Tickets get sold out quickly. We have watched several F1 concerts; the vibe still excites you. On the last day of the F1, the drivers take to the tracks parading with each other before the showdown. When the final lap takes places, people are usually heading to the DU ARENA for the last concert. The skies are lit with a 15-minute fireworks display. It’s a fantastic experience.
We finally got to see PINK; she came up from under the stage. We could hear her as we were right up against the stage. I made sure to be one of the 1st few people in line to get access to the main area. The golden circle area is usually much better than the general area because you get to see the singer on stage. PINK did not disappoint. She put on quite a show and leaped across the stage at the end of the show. Everyone got to see her which as a great surprise.
