I am not a breathing expert, but I always write from my heart and my own life experiences. I sincerely hope that my words can be a support to those searching for an answer or a tiny prayer of help.
Sometimes life can seem like a roller coaster of emotions. There are days when I’m on high speed, and the rush of life excites and thrills me, but then there are those days when the speed gets to me. I feel like I am not enjoying the ride. Do you sometimes feel like this?
What I have learned is that my mind is connected to the way I breathe. I thought about the times when I felt anxious or nervous about something, and the only thing I knew to do at that present moment was to take a deep breath.
Somehow consciously breathing in and out made me feel different. It was like my mind opened, and my thoughts shifted from being anxious to feeling calm.
Do we breathe properly?
Are we allowing ourselves to inhale positive air and exhale the negative air that is causing us to not feel like our True and Authentic selves?
One of my favorite movies is “Waiting to Exhale? The plot and characters might not seem appealing to most people, but the title is what kept me motivated to watch the movie and like it.
We all are experiencing life differently. Some of us are blessed with friends like the characters in the movie who are there to support us and allow us to vent about life. Others do not have friends or family who can be there to help them. Life can feel lonely and we only have ourselves to depend on.
That moment will come in your life when you just know its time to Exhale!
You will take a deep breath and let go of all that is causing life to feel imperfect.
You will feel ready to move on!
Remember to breath!!
Remembering to take a deep breath is a thought we often take for granted. Life is so busy and hectic that something so simple, natural and therapeutic can be the last thought on our minds.
I suppose that is why Meditation and Yoga brings a sense of calmness to the unsettling soul. If you someone that practices Meditation or Yoga, breathing properly will become part of who you are.
If you are reading this, stop for a moment. Close your eyes and take a long deep breath. Relax and do this a few times. How do you feel?
I don’t know you, but I’m sure that something has shifted inside of you.
During the most stressful moments in your life, remember to stop for a minute and take a long and deep breath. Whatever your next response will be is entirely up to you.
Giving yourself permission to relax and breathe is such a healthy option. Wouldn’t you agree?
I am not going to give suggestions on how to breathe or techniques of proper breathing. There are many experts who can help you change your breathing patterns.
My message to you is to become aware of your breathing.
Allow yourself to breathe new life into the life that you already have.
It is time to exhale!!
