United Arab Emirates
Where is Al Ain?
Al-Ain is part of Abu Dhabi. Let’s remember that the United Arab Emirates consists of seven emirates which are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm Al Quaiwan.
Al-Ain is located in the Eastern region of Abu Dhabi and many people who drive to Oman will know the city very well.
Al-Ain is known as the Garden city because it is the largest inland city in the UAE. If you want to experience a majestic oasis, picture-perfect dunes, and endless rows of palm trees you will make sure to include Al Ain on your list of travels within the UAE.
Al-Ain might not have beaches but it’s very famous for having one of the highest mountains in the country. At the foothills of the Jebel Hafeet Mountain lies the beautiful Green Mubazarrah. Visitors can take a drive up to the top of the mountain to enjoy the views of the city. At the bottom of the mountain lies the beautiful picnic area where you can enjoy soaking your feet in the hot springs. The air is filled with the smell of BBQ meat, grilled vegetables, and families talking and laughing.
Al-Ain certainly has a lot to offer tourists, Locals, and UAE Expats, but I would like to share the details of my trip to Telal Resort.
My magical staycation in the vast landscape of the Remah Desert
Telal Resort Al Ain
Traveling Tip -Location – https://www.telalresort.ae/contact-us.html
Staycations seem to be the trend in the year 2020. There are many travel restrictions and concerns. People are choosing to enjoy local resorts and hotels. Fortunately, for UAE Expats and Locals there are many staycation packages to choose from. Hopefully, once life resumes its normal functions tourists can take the opportunity to enjoy the experiences that the hotel industry in the UAE has to offer.
Many tourists who visit the UAE are truly spoilt for choice. I have lived as an Expat in the UAE for twenty years and I am still discovering the beauty of the country. I am proud to be a part of the growth and development of the UAE. I feel that it is my responsibility to give back to this amazing country by highlighting its true beauty to the world.
There are many hidden gems in the UAE. To me, Telal Resort is an Oasis gem. The resort is surrounded by the landscapes of the Remah Desert. The luxury resort welcomes its guests to enjoy its natural landscape and wildlife by offering a service that you will not find in any of the hotels located within the city of Al Ain.
You cannot travel to the UAE and not experience authentic Emirati traditions and experiences. The Emirati culture, food, people, and traditions make this country so hospitable.
The resort is very romantic, peaceful, and has a relaxing ambiance. The rooms are luxurious and glamorous. The décor reflects old Bedouin traditions with a mix of modern comfort. The outside seating and hammock on the porch offer a great opportunity to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. The soft peachy sand drifts by playfully as you take a lovely stroll to the little man-made sanctuary that is home to the beautiful swans who welcome the guests.
My favorite part of my staycation
My favorite feature of the hotel is the swimming pool. The outdoor pool feels natural and gives the guest a feeling of total bliss. The rocks inside the pool offer an escape from the hot sun. It feels private even when other guests are swimming. The dunes watch as you cool off and spend the day on the pool chairs. Watching the sun escape behind the dunes while enjoying the cool pool water is amazing.
The hotel has many activities for guests to enjoy. Of cause, we did it all. I would recommend booking an inclusive package. This will allow you to ride a camel, experience the zip line, learn archery, and sandboard down the dunes.
The hotel activities are priced but there are complementary activities to enjoy such as chess and table tennis.
If you a fitness enthusiast you can enjoy a full work out in the gym located next to the pool.
The staff at the hotel are friendly and welcoming. The service is luxurious and you will enjoy the complimentary cookies and fruit given during your stay.
Every evening there is a turndown service and delicious date chocolate placed on your pillow. You can prepare fresh coffee from the machine or opt for a cup of tea. Enjoy laying in the hammock and watching the stars glisten in the clear desert sky.
We ate breakfast at the Desert Gate restaurant. The breakfast served was al carte because of COVID – 19 restrictions and unfortunately, the usual buffets were not on offer. Guests also have the option of room services. The breakfast was enjoyable and fresh. The restaurant décor made up for the restricted services. I honestly felt like I was somewhere in Africa. The features and designs of the hotel are what make it unique and luxurious.
The hotel does not serve alcohol but you can enjoy the selection of juices and drinks on the menu.
The hotel accommodation varies with each room boasting its unique features.
Arabian oryx royal pool villa
Want to enjoy a luxurious night in supreme private bliss and tranquility? If you have the cash to spare then this room is just for you. You will have your private Jacuzzi, swimming pool, sauna, and steam room.
Heritage Deluxe Room
A more affordable option and also private is the Heritage room. What makes the room so enjoyable and unique is its location in the Zaman Lawal Heritage Village. Families will enjoy watching the kids run and play outside on the dunes. There is a small lake with ducks nearby and the camels are located near the heritage souk. The hammock and outside seating provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the desert.
Telal Resort caters to different preferences and budgets. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and allows all its guests to relax and unwind. It’s a gem in an Oasis. If you can get an all-inclusive package then you don’t need to worry about anything else except enjoying your time at the resort.
I would recommend contacting the hotel for promotions or checking online for staycation deals. Remember that during the summer months in the UAE many hotels offer great value for money staycation packages. You just have to plan and book ahead.
Wishing you a safe and relaxing staycation wherever you are!
Superlady!
